The Private Directors Association is a Chicago-based non-profit with 786 members across 15 chapter cities throughout the U.S.; the Charlotte Chapter was formed in 2017. PDA's mission is to create, sustain and enhance the value of privately-owned businesses through the active use of Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards. PDA is an advocate for excellent practices in board formation and governance and provides a national network where executives and professionals interested in board service can find and meet with those interested in securing exceptional board members. Budd Berro spent twenty years in the commercial and investment banking industries in a wide variety of roles, started and managed a contract-CFO business, served in a state government policy/advocacy role, was a consultant to municipalities concerning economic development and infrastructure improvement, and was the business/finance director of a private school. He currently teaches a wide variety of subjects in a public school system, and has been/is a Board Chair of four non-profit organizations. |

During his career, he has worked in the minerals and energy industries as an engineer, financial analyst, corporate development executive, chief operating officer, consultant and commodities trader. His last corporate role was as Director of Portfolio Optimization for Duke Energy, in which he traded coal and related commodities for the Duke Energy regulated utilities in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and the Carolinas. John is now the owner of TeamLogic IT of South Charlotte, offering a full range of IT services to small and medium businesses in the Charlotte Metro area. |
